BIOGRAPHY
In private practice since 1975 as a litigation lawyer, Pierre-Gilles Laframboise accepted an offer in 1984 as a senior partner and member of the management of a major Montreal firm. In 1994, Mr. Laframboise founded the firm Laframboise-Gutkin, which stood out for 25 years.
Involved in sports in his youth, Mr. Laframboise was vice-president of the Cartierville canoeing club, and led the club to the Canadian canoe-kayak championships in 1984, in Halifax, winning the gold medal.
Pierre-Gilles Laframboise is one of Montreal's elite experts in matrimonial litigation and handles major cases involving business and family decisions. He also excels in estate, civil, and commercial litigation, as well as civil and professional liability. Pierre-Gilles Laframboise has also established precedents in several civil liability cases.
For over forty years now, Pierre-Gilles Laframboise has had his clients' best interests at heart. He is undoubtedly a renowned and charismatic litigator and an outstanding writer. His reputation is well established within the legal community and among members of the Quebec judiciary.
In 1984, Mr. Pierre-Gilles Laframboise was chosen to represent the Montreal Bar at the Concours International de la Francophonie in Brussels. He received first prize from the Mayor of Liège for the quality of his writing. He served on the boards of directors of Caisses Populaires for 25 years and remains active in non-profit organizations in the sports and arts sectors.
